DESCRIPTION:I don’t lead many sessions these days (too busy writing) so this is a rare opportunity to hear me talk about my pet writing techniques. \nHere’s the seminar blurb: \nCan you handle ways of conveying backstory other than via flashbacks? Has an editor ever told you to ‘cut for pace’ or control your viewpoint and you’ve not really understood what that means? \nIn her years as a creative writing tutor\, Sue Moorcroft saw these subjects crop up so frequently that she developed this workshop to tackle them. \nShe will tell you the value of manipulating reader emotions; why we utilise character senses; how to make characters act\, react and interact; and a way to establish the shape of your story arc and how to support it.
