Street Team
When a reader and Facebook friend, Louise St, posted on my Facebook author page that I should have a street team, I researched other authors’ teams and discovered that:
- A street team is for enthusiastic readers who want to talk about, and to, a favourite author.
- They want to be the first to hear news, and help both author and publisher by spreading the word about special offers, awards shortlistings and competitions.
- A street team harnesses the enthusiasm of readers.
- Truthfully, a street team can be anything you want it to be.
There’s a private Facebook group for Team Sue Moorcroft members and I posted there to ask what people like about being members of Team Sue Moorcroft. Here are a few of the comments:
Helen: [It’s] great being in the team as we are asked to contribute to character names for forthcoming books
Ferne: I joined as I love Sue’s books and feel part of a family
Barbara: I love having the insight into how Sue produces her wonderful books
Christine: I enjoy being part of Sue’s Street Team as she keeps us up to date with her research
Mick: The chance to hear about Sue’s WIP’s, snippets on her research, naming of characters, being able to support an awesome author and friend
The team gives me a warm glow whenever I think about it.
Thank you to each and every team member.

It would be a pleasure to hear from you.
