Street Team & Reader Group

Recently, someone asked me how Team Sue Moorcroft and Sue Moorcroft Reader Group differ. They’re both Facebook groups after all, and they’re both for readers. Indeed, some readers are in both groups. So, here’s my explanation, in case you wonder too:

  • Team Sue Moorcroft is for those who want to be involved with and be supportive of my books. Members get the opportunity to help choose character names or place names and I occasionally ask for them to share my social media posts if they have the opportunity.
  • Members usually get first peek at my book covers (so they have to be able to keep a secret!) and any Teamster book bloggers are prioritised on my blog tours.
  • Teamsters are also prioritised for NetGalley approval, but they do have to have a good record of posting reviews. Preferably the positive kind.
  • Teamsters have the opportunity to be involved with cover reveals and publication days.
  • Sue Moorcroft Reader Group is more about chatting or catching up with my news. I sometimes post about what I’m reading, and members are very welcome to do the same.
  • Members often post where they’ve been reading one of my books or if it was given as a gift.
  • Both groups get just-for-members-of-the-group opportunities to win competition prizes – usually a signed book.
  • Members of both groups are welcome to ask to buy signed copies of any book that I have in stock – but I’m afraid postage must be covered, as well as the book. The book’s not usually full cover price, though.
  • Team Sue Moorcroft has been going for longer and is attached to my Facebook profile.
  • Sue Moorcroft Reader Group is attached to my Sue Moorcroft Author page.
  • Team Sue Moorcroft has fewer members than Sue Moorcroft Reader Group.

Readers are equally welcome in either group, or both, so follow the links in this post and sign up if you’d like to. You do have to have a Facebook account, of course.

Who knows? You might one day want to submit a photo of your pet to be in a book or just enter a competition to win a signed copy!
